BJP Mahila Morcha observes 12-hour Konark bandh

 Konark: A 12-hour bandh called by BJP Mahila Morcha on Friday demanding the arrest of the main accused in connection with the alleged gang rape of a Kolkata woman in the city has crippled normal life in Konark of Puri district.

 The Mahila Morcha also demanded a prostitution-free city Educational institutions and business establishments have remained closed today following the dawn-to- dusk bandh.

Commuters, students, traders, and office-goers faced a  time with transport services being thrown out of gear. Vehicular traffic on the roads has been disrupted due to the bandh.

Though police have arrested six persons in connection with the alleged gang rape, the main accused, who is the kingpin of the sex racket is still absconding.
