KALIA scheme for farmers officially launched

The flagship farmers welfare scheme of the Odisha government called KALIA ( short for Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and and Income Augmentation) which had been announced on 21st December was formally launched Monday in a function held in the Odisha Secretariat.

The cash component will be implemented from Rabi 2018-19 onwards with a grant of Rs 5000 per small farmer/marginal farmer family per season for purchase of inputs.

Operational modalities have been communicated to all the districts and Nodal officers are being appointed through the district administration at GP,sector ,Block and district level.The GP wise farmers list will be used to identify the beneficiary farmers.
