Odisha police arrest ITR officer for leaking information to PAK agents

The Balasore Police in Odisha arrested a senior technical officer of Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, after all the evidence was ­gathered about his shady dealings with the Pakistani agency.

As per the sources he was allegedly leaking sensitive technical information and classified defence information regarding a missile test to an alleged Pakistani agent.

Inspector general of police (eastern range) Himanshu Lal also revealed that he was doing so as he was getting monetary benefits and pleasure through sexual conversation and by exchanging of sexual photos and videos with the Pakistani agent.

The arrested ITR officer booked under 120-A, 120-B, 34 Indian Penal Code, 3,4,5 of Official Secrets Act, 1923 is being interrogated. He was honey-trapped by a Rawalpindi-based Pakistani woman.

Further investigation is underway as the possibility of more ITR staff involved in the incident can also be turn red in the case, said senior police officials.
