Panel to monitor execution of jail reforms

The Orissa High Court has issued a slew of directions for improving the condition of jails. The Jail reforms matter has been heard in the Orissa High Court on Thursday.

As per the report, the Malkangiri jail is overcrowded, it has crossed the limit of the maximum number of prisoners.

The jail department is taking steps to reduce overcrowding.
