Ratha Katha Anukula Ritual at Srimandir

Puri: The initiation ceremony -Ratha Katha Anukula’ ritual was held at Puri Srimandir on Thursday on occasion of Sri Panchami.

The timber logs has been worshipped with prescribed rituals on the Saraswati Puja day by Purohit, Rajguru and Stotriya brahmins.

As per the tradition three pieces of Dhaura wood logs will be placed at the Chariot yard (Ratha Khala) on Vasanta Panchami day for worship while the making of the chariots will begin from the Akshyaya Trutiya day.
