Tusker Carcass Recovered in Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: The carcass of an elephant was recovered from Sadar forest range in Dhenkanal district on Sunday. As per reports, the some locals spotted the elephant carcass lying near Ostapal village and alerted the forest department.

On getting the information, forest officials arrived at the spot and seized the carcass. According to sources, the pachyderm was around 20 years old.

A probe has been launched into the matter and the exact cause of death will be known after post-mortem, said an official.
